Ragin Cajun Football At The Beach – You’re Invited

A lot of us Ragin Cajun fans are waking up this morning with a feeling of " did that really happen?" Yesterday's game with Louisiana Tech did not go the way most Cajun fans and the pundits thought it would. Louisiana Tech obviously was the better team yesterday and you have to give them credit. That game is in the past.

Looming next for the Cajuns is Ole Miss, a lot of Cajun Fans will be making the drive through the squalor and corruption that is Mississippi for that game next Saturday.

The following Saturday many of us who support the Cajuns won't be making the trek to Boise Idaho when the Cajuns meet Boise State. Instead this is your invitation to come be a part of a new tailgate tradition. The Ragin Cajun Tailgate Getaway Weekend.

The current long range forecast for the Alabama Gulf Coast suggests that the weekend of September 19th- the 21st will be perfect. The temperatures will be warm but not hot. The golf courses will be green and not crowded. The beaches will be welcoming and not crowded. The restaurants will offer an abundance of delicious meals and great cocktails and there will be no wait times. The condos will be just as comfortable and a lot less expensive than they would be during the high season on the coast.

We have made arrangements for Cajun Fans to join us, 97.3 The Dawg, on the beach at Gulf Shores that weekend. We've negotiated some incredibly low Ragin Cajun rates at The Beach Club and Turquoise Place. If you come with another couple or two you can be on the beach with a hot tub and grill  on your balcony for less than you'd pay for a hotel with far less amenities.

We have also negotiated some incredible golf packages for Kiva Dunes and The Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club. If you get into town Friday afternoon you can play a round at one course and the schedule a round at the other on Saturday and still have time for the beach, the bars and the game on Saturday night.

Among the events we have planned so far there is going to be a cocktail reception on Friday Night at The Gulf Restaurant. Saturday we will have a get together at The Hangout around lunch time. Then we will move the party over to the Wharf and Baumhower's for game day fun including the big Cajun Watch Party for the game.  There are other events being finalized for time and location including a cool event for the ladies with The Pigskin Chicks and of course we're going to do some family fun events at the beach too.

The best part about the whole weekend is we are with the people want to be with at the Beach showing our love for the Ragin Cajuns.
