
Rayne Frog Festival Kickoff Parade Canceled Out of Respect for Fallen Officer
RAYNE, La. (KMDL-FM) - Organizers with the Rayne Frog Festival have announced that Thursday's Kick-Off Parade has been canceled this year.
The parade, which traditionally signals the start of the famed South Louisiana festival, will not take place out of respect for the fallen Rayne police officer.

In a social media post, the Rayne Frog Festival Committee posted the following:
Out of respect for our fallen officer and to allow our law enforcement families time to grieve and be with loved ones Thursday night's Kickoff Parade has been canceled.
The committee went on to say Rayne officers will be dedicating this weekend to keeping everyone safe during the Festival, and then will lay their brother in blue to rest.
No other changes to this weekend's Rayne Frog Festival have been announced.
