What kind of house will you buy with your lottery winnings? A Lafayette man recently answered that question on national television and a few other Louisiana residents could be contemplating large purchases as well. All thanks to some luck, or is it skill, at predicting what numbers will be drawn in the country's two large multi-state lottery games.

Last Wednesday at ticket sold in Marrero was worth $50,000 in the Powerball drawing for April 24th. That ticket was sold at the Discount Depot on the Marrero Expressway. There was also another Powerball winning ticket sold in Louisiana for this past Saturday's (April 27) drawing. That ticket is worth $50,000 as well and was sold in New Orleans at A&J's Mart on General DeGaulle.

There was also a Mega Millions ticket sold in Louisiana for Friday night's (April 26) drawing. That ticket is worth $10,000 and was sold in Jackson Louisiana. That ticket was purchased at the 61 Chevron Food Mart.

While Louisiana lottery players have been quite fortunate over the past several days, there have been no tickets sold that have taken the top prizes in the  Powerball and Mega Millions games. Those jackpots are now an estimated $181 million and $229 million respectively.
