Red Cross Continues Their Help For Louisiana Flooding Victims

The Red Cross continues to assist people from multiple areas in the state where homes and businesses flooded.

Officials with Red Cross say that they still have more than 150 people were housed in seven Red Cross and community-run shelters.

Disaster workers are providing many types of help. They have given out more than 99,500 meals and snacks. They have also given out close to 26,000 relief times that including things like cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene kits.

Red Cross also has disaster mental health workers helping people in multiple parishes in Louisiana.

Several shelters were open last night where the Red Cross and community members helped residents:

• Tangipahoa Parish· National Guard Armory – 746 E. Railwood Ave., Independence, La. 70466
• Washington Parish· Elizabeth Sullivan Memorial United Methodist Church – 510 Avenue B, Bogalusa, La. 70427
• Caldwell Parish· Caldwell Parish Community Center – 6539 Highway 165 South, Duty Ferry, La. 71418
