Road Closures for Sunday’s Peaceful Protest

If you are going to participate in Sunday's protest in Girard Park, or if you plan on being anywhere in the area, there are a few road closures you need to know about.

There will be a few road closures Sunday due to The March for Police Accountability which is scheduled to be held at the corner of Girard Park Drive and South College Drive according to Lafayette Police Department Spokesman Sergeant Wayne Griffin's press release.

The road closures will affect areas around Girard Park starting at 5 o'clock this Sunday, June 14.

Griffin says that Girard Park Drive along with Girard Woods Drive and some of the areas around East St. Mary right near Girard Park Drive will not be accessible.
