The New Orleans Saints, following their 38-32 season finale loss to the Atlanta Flacons last Sunday, will select 11th in the 2017 NFL Draft.

The loss to the Falcons ended the Saints' season with an overall record of 7-9, the same record they finished with in both the 2014 and 2015 seasons as well.

After finishing at 7-9 in 2014, the Saints selected offensive lineman Andrus Peat with the 13th-overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Last year, after finishing 7-9 in 2015, the Saints picked Louisville defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins with the 12th-overall selection.

Last season, with the 11th pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Florida corner back Vernon Hargreaves.

Picking 11th means that the Saints will be selecting the earliest they have since 2007, when they took USC defensive lineman Sedrick Ellis with the 7th-overall pick.

The Cleveland Browns will have the first pick, followed by the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans (from the Los Angeles Rams) to round out the top five.

At picks 6-10, in front of the Saints, will be the New York Jets, San Diego Chargers, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Buffalo Bills.
