Well this is something you don't hear about every day -- Santa was actually real!

There's bad news though. Archaeologists in Turkey says they believe they've found his tomb.

Yep, that would make Santa dead.

The archaeologists found a tomb in Demre, which is in southern Turkey. They say it's most likely the tomb for the real Saint Nicholas, who's the bishop that the Santa Claus legend is based on.

He was buried in the mid-fourth century so his tomb has been sitting there undiscovered for almost 1,700 years.

The team is working to excavate the remains, though it's going to be a slow process. They don't want to damage the tomb in the process.
