Frisky Shark Gets a Little Too Close to Shore in Perdido Key on Sunday [Watch]
Sharks at the beach aren't a new thing. But that doesn't make it any less scary if you are the one swimming at said beach.
On Sunday, July 2, beachgoers at Perdido Key Beach in Florida were greeted by a shark swimming along a little too close to shore.
As you can see in the video below, the shark was quite frisky, most likely zipping through to grab a bite to eat.
While it's a bit difficult to really see what kind of shark this is, it didn't prevent everyone nearby to get to scrambling out of the water.
Several amateur marine biologists on social media said that it appeared to be a hammerhead or thrasher, by the way.
We saw a few people comment on social media that they saw a lot of bait fish in the water, making it prime for sharks, manatees, dolphins, and the like to feed.
Of course, this is nothing new for this area. Check out a video from a few weeks of some pretty cool hammerheads in the same neck of the woods.
Stay vigilant and be safe at the beach, y'all!
