One man is dead in New Iberia after he crashed his vehicle into a utility pole.
Around 4pm today, Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on South Lewis Street near its intersection with Oil Center Drive.
The investigation revealed that the driver failed to negotiate a curve while traveling south on South Lewis Street, causing him to swerve off the road and hit a utility pole.
