Sofia Vergara is one of Hollywood's curviest, most eccentric actresses; and if you are big Modern Family fan, then you know exactly what I am talking about. However, she isn't just a funny Colombian woman with an amazing body, she is motivated and inspired by helping others. That is why she teamed up with meatballs in an effort to raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

According to People Magazine, the actress recently joined the "Meatballs 4 Ninos" campaign, where the national Italian chain restaurant, Buca di Beppo, will donate a dollar to the children's hospital for every meatball dish that is ordered either in the restaurant or online. They are known for their oversized, half-pound meatballs soaked in marinara sauce.

Vergara feels a strong, personal connection to St. Jude's. She is a thyroid cancer survivor herself; therefore, she feels compelled and encouraged to help others going through cancer, especially children. "I am a mother so it’s something very special to me, working with kids, and I always get involved with kids’ charities. I had cancer 10 years ago, so it’s close to my heart, and they’re doing such amazing work,” the actress told Access Hollywood in an interview last year.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital relies on private donations to discover more treatments and solutions in battling childhood cancer. It is always nice to hear of the famous celebs pitching in to help out. Hats off to you, Sofia!
