Actress Sofia Vergara Sued in Louisiana Court on Behalf of Her Own Embryos
I'm sorry, this is just weird.
The long and strange legal battle between actress Sofia Vergara and her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb over the couple's frozen embroys has now moved to Louisiana, this after previously being litigated in California courts.
Vergara was sued Wednesday on behalf of her embryos "Emma" and "Isabella" (they named them?) which are currently being preserved in a Beverly Hills tank.
"Emma and Isabella seek that they be entrusted to their natural father Loeb, who is willing and desirous that they be born and become eligible to receive their inheritance,” the petition filed in 24th Judicial District Court said.
The reason the new suit was filed in Louisiana was because the two actually lived here occasionally in 2013 and 2014, broke up here and their trust was created here.
By the way, Louisiana has some of the strongest pro-life laws in the nation.
This should be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
