Did You Buy An iPhone? You Might Be Getting $95
(KMDL-FM) You know that feeling when you put on a coat that you haven't worn in a while, and you find money in the pocket? If you're an iPhone user, you might be experiencing that same feeling just by reaching into your pocket for your phone. It was just announced that Apple is paying out some $250 million in a class action lawsuit.

This class action stems from allegations that Apple "falsely advertised" features for its new iPhone that didn't exist and were only in development.

What Were The Falsely Advertised Features on the iPhone?
The plaintiffs in the suit allege that Apple showcased its AI system and Siri features in marketing campaigns before the features were fully functional. In fact, the suit claims the products didn't exist when Apple was touting their features.
As you might imagine, people who purchased iPhones expecting to have the new technology were sorely disappointed. This "facade" put in place by Apple is what spawned the lawsuit alleging misleading advertising.
As you probably expected, in the settlement of the grievance, Apple admits to no wrongdoing but is still willing to pay some $250 million. In order to get your share of the settlement money, you will need to have purchased one of the following Apple iPhone products.
Which iPhone Products Are Eligible For the $95 Settlement Money?
The products eligible for settlement compensation include the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model. The products must have been purchased between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.

The scope of the settlement should apply to some 37 million iPhone users in the United States. It is estimated that the average compensation for an approved claim will be $95. That figure can and will change based on the number of approved claims.
The settlement application website has not been brought online. The attorneys administering the lawsuit and settlement say that the website should be operational in a few weeks. At that time, more specific details on how to apply for the settlement will be made available.
