St. Martinville Christmas Parade Set for This Sunday

The St. Martinville Kiwanis Club presents the St. Martinville Christmas Parade set for this Sunday, December 14th starting at 2pm. The parade will start at St. Martinville Senior High School and proceed down Main Street to the Human Resources Office.

Civic, church, and school organizations are encouraged to take an active part in the Christmas parade. All businesses, dignitaries, queens, families, and interested individuals are also asked to participate. There will be no fees charged to enter any float, marching unit, or band in the parade. A first place plaque, second place ribbon, and third place ribbon will be awarded to the best decorated floats in the clubs, businesses, and individual categories.

The official Santa Claus of the parade will be sponsored by the St. Martinville Kiwanis Club. To avoid confusing the many children that will be there, the club asks that no one put anyone one else dressed up as Santa on their float.
