The City of Broussard is getting ready for Christmas and they are planning some amazing events.

A well-known DJ from Ascension Parish has died days after falling from a float during a Christmas parade earlier this month.

The Town of Church Point will be holding its 2021 Christmas Parade tonight beginning at 6:00 pm.

Santa will be the star of the show but that's not all, the Sonic Christmas Parade will feature floats, high school marching bands and dance teams.

The events including a parade and fireworks were moved to this evening because of inclement weather earlier in the week.

The big guy himself, Santa Claus is coming to Scott to parade through neighborhoods and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Saturday downtown Jennings will be filled with a holiday spirit that includes a parade, lots of gumbo, and fireworks too.

The Kiwanis Christmas Parade has been axed due to the high price tag involved to make sure everyone is safe.

Rain is the reason for the postponement of St. Martinville's Christmas parade.

Ralph Peters, Executive Director of FVIP, says this is the organization's main fundraiser for the year.
