The man behind that who red Starbucks cup fiasco had his moment on national TV, but unfortunately things didn't go quite his way.

Josh Feurstein is a self-proclaimed Facebook personality at the center of a viral video that suggests Starbucks has declared "war on Christmas" with their minimal red holiday cup design.

Feurstein was a guest on CNN's Newsroom on Monday, and reiterated that the cups are symbolic of a society that is "trying to remove Christmas from Christmas." He rattled off statistics, basically speaking on behalf of the nearly 75% of Christians in America who he refers to as a silent majority of people who are "sick and tired of being bullied to be quiet about their beliefs."

Radio personality Pete Dominick sat grinning the entire time while Feurstein ranted, and when it was his term to speak, he brought up several great points.

Why not, instead of projecting outrage over something as silly as a paper cup, go into Starbucks and buy a food item for a homeless person, and then wish them Merry Christmas while giving it to them?

Feuerstein wasn't able to respond because his earpiece wasn't working (convenient, right?), but the newsroom host was able to pose a question that many have used against his argument.

She asked if the fact that Starbucks actually carries Christmas themed products (i.e. the Starbucks Christmas Blend) pokes a hole in his theory that they are trying to remove Christmas from their brand altogether.

At that point it seemed as if Feuerstein was backed into a corner.

His rebuttal? Attack Obama!

No—seriously, he suggested that if we didn't live in a Christian society, then why did Obama have to pretend to be one to get elected President?

The only problem with that, is that Obama didn't have to "pretend" to be Christian—which the host quickly pointed out as Feuerstein's audio was cut. At that point, any and all logical conversation had derailed.

But seriously, does this guy really believe he represents the views of 73% of Christians in America? It's actually crazy to think that this "controversy" has gotten as big as it has. Maybe it's so ridiculous that we can't stop making fun of it? Maybe other people out there really do think that Starbucks is leading an all out war on Christmas.

Maybe that Starbucks Christmas blend is secretly a Satanic blend that slowly breaks down your Christian beliefs, one Venti latte at a time?

Maybe Starbucks is just doing the minimalist thing this Holiday season. Maybe that guy just likes attention.

Maybe a cup design defining, swaying, or influencing our religious beliefs seems a bit ridiculous.

Maybe I really want some Starbucks coffee right now.

Starbucks REMOVED CHRISTMAS from their cups because they hate Jesus ... SO I PRANKED THEM ... and they HATE IT!!!! #shareUse #MERRYCHRISTMASSTARBUCKSFollow --> Joshua Feuerstein
