Storm Drain Fishing – Real Or Fake? [Video]

For someone to say they are fishing in front of their house is not too far fetched here in Louisiana. While we don't all have alligators roaming around in our backyards, there are quite a few homes that are built on the edge of a lake, pond, or bayou.

The guy in this video appears to live in a landlocked neighborhood and he is doing something really strange. He is fishing in the storm drain.

What strikes me as odd about this video is the fact that the area around the drain appears to be rather dry. One might assume from this that the water level in the storm drain system would not be that high. At least a water level not high enough to sustain a fish the size of what this fisherman appears to pull out of the drain.
