UPDATE: Willie Edwards, the son of Junior Edwards, revealed on social media that his father passed away at his home after a courageous battle with colon cancer over the last few months.

(KMDL-FM) - Former Swamp People star Junior Edwards has reportedly passed away, according to several reports.

His passing was announced by multiple loved ones, including his grandson, Lil Willie Edwards, who posted on social media earlier this month that the reality star's health was failing.

"Well, guys, those of you that don't know...my grandpa has been dealing with some health issues," Willie wrote on social media on July 6.

He added: "Y'all keep him in y'alls thoughts and prayers please...we need a miracle. Get better for us papa, we love you!!!"

Junior Edwards appeared on Swamp People from 2010 to 2015 and was even joined by his son, Willie Edwards, as well as his grandson. He would later make a surprising return to the show for Season 12 in 2021.
