Halloween night will be a fun night of parties, scares and candy. Many families across South Louisiana will also be getting prepared for the November 1st Cajun French tradition of "La Toussaint". Will you?

The other day I was shootin' the breeze with my 11-year-old Bill, and he brought up the Cajun legend of Madame Grand Doigt, or Lady Big Fingers. I had never heard of Madame Grand Doigt, and the legend is as creepy as it sounds!

Here in South Louisiana, we kind of do our own thing when it comes to Christmas. Heck, we do our own thing when it comes to everything. A few years ago, Acadiana legend Crawfishman dropped a holiday nugget in our lap with "The Real Cajun Night Before Christmas".

Today I learned about about a movie called "Southern Comfort" from 1981 that is packed full of South Louisiana Cajun goodness. The movie seems to do a fantastic and fairly accurate job of portraying what the Cajun lifestyle is all about. That's actually what a lot of people were shocked by when the movie was released. It's was a little too real for some folks, or at least this one particular scene.

There is an amazing website called "Crappy Taxidermy" and it's filled with some of the worst, most hilarious bad taxidermy you can hope to ever see. I decided to put a little Cajun twist to some of these.
