september 11th

"The Daily Show" with host John Stewart went off the air for 9 days after the tragedies of 9/11 back in 2001. On the show's first night back, John Stewart delivered this incredibly touching and moving monologue.

The events of 11 years ago made us all stop and count our blessings. We remembered what is good and right about our country and what is good and right about each other.

Man it seems like just yesterday 9/11 took place, but the weird thing is I was in 5th grade.  It must have been important to me because I still remember where I was when I found out about this attack.  Not sure I can say I understood what happened at that moment, but I know lives were lost, and that right there is enough for me...
