I know, I had to read that a few times too before it really sank in. Here in Acadiana, we’re lucky enough to make it onto numerous great top 10 lists…food, business, tourism and culture to name a few. I guess the law of averages eventually wouldn’t play in our favor at some point, and it looks like that time is now…or is it?

Being that it's U.L.'s Homecoming this weekend, there's a good possibility Cajun Field is going to be PACKED. It's also a good possibility that there will be quite a few of you who haven't gone to a game yet, or have folks coming in from out of town...

After crusing to 8-0 and 9-4 wins in their first two regional games, it was a matter of just one win on Sunday for the UL softball team to win the Lafayette Regional.

It has not happened since 2002 -- the Ragin' Cajuns softball team will be hosting an NCAA Regional. May 18-20 at Lamson Park, #6 ranked UL (49-4) will play in the postseason for the 22nd time overall and 14th straight year.

The Ragin' Cajun football team also has a new tradition that all of you fans should participate in! After each game regardless of a victory or loss the team stands in front of the band and sings through the fight song!

Last time we had a great time tailgating at Cajun Field, and now we have the pictures to show it. We are hoping that tomorrow's game will bring in even more fans and even more great pictures. The Ragin Cajuns are off to a great start this season.  After last week's big win over Florida International, the Cajuns are sitting atop the Sun Belt Conference with a 3-1 record. After winning the Sun Belt Conference tournament Saturday at Lamson Park the Ragin' Cajuns softball team knew they were NCAA tournament bound. They just didn't know where they'd be playing. Now they do as last night on ESPNU the Cajuns watched their team name pop up as a #3 seed in the Austin Regional. Louisiana will play #2 seed Houston in the first game of the four-team regional.
