After crusing to 8-0 and 9-4 wins in their first two regional games, it was a matter of just one win on Sunday for the UL softball team to win the Lafayette Regional.

That they did. The Ragin' Cajuns rolled over Stanford today by the final of 6-2. Senior Ashley Brignac was terrific on the mound again as she got the win even though she wasn't able to complete the game after giving up two runs in the sixth inning. Jordan Wallace came in to preserve the win.

A couple of home runs by UL's offense and Co-Head Coaches Stefni and Michael Lotief's squad is heading to another Super Regional.

It appears the Cajuns will be heading to Tempe, Arizona to take on Arizona State. The Sun Devils are the reigning National Champs. However, UL has defeated ASU once earlier in the regular season.

Check back here for updates as we will post who UL will be playing once the Tempe Regional is over.

***UPDATE: Arizona State advanced after beating Syracuse in the second game yesterday. So, UL will be traveling to Tempe to take on ASU in the Super Regionals.
