Taylor Swift Testifies In Groping Lawsuit: ‘It Was A Definite Grab’
Taylor Swift testified in court today in Denver, Colorado in her counter lawsuit against former radio host David Mueller that “It was a definite grab. A very long grab.” Mueller is accused of groping Swift during a 2013 meet and greet. Mueller filed the initial multi-million dollar lawsuit saying Swift's claims against him are unfounded and have cost him his job and reputation. Swift then filled her counter suit seeking $1. Both claims are being weighed at the trial.
Taking the witness stand today, Swift told the court her body guard witnessed Mueller lift her skirt, but no one was able to witness the alleged grab because their backs were facing a wall.
From the gaurdian.com, Swift told the court “He grabbed my ass underneath my skirt. He stayed attached to my bare ass cheek as I lurched away from him.”
When asked why she didn't say anything when it happened, Swift told the court it was an incident "she did not want known" and that she was stunned. Swift said she "did not want to stop the event and disappoint the remaining people in line."
Taylor's mom Andrea Swift testified in court today as well, telling her side of the incident.
From the gaurdian.com -
"Andrea Swift said her daughter was really shaken after the encounter with Mueller. She testified she did not want to make her relive this moment over and over again”
Mueller testified that his "hand was at rib-cage level and apparently it went down.” He told the court the photo they took was “weird and awkward, but that he had not touched Swift on her rear."
The trial is expected to last three weeks.
