Parade Magazine has always been a place where you can find delicious recipes and foodie destinations across the USA. A while back they featured some of our delicious Louisiana restaurants and markets in their 'Great Road Food Destinations' issue, and it's definitely worth revisiting , if for nothing else but to remind us that people come from all over the world to partake in our awesome cajun cuisine!

Some of these I've tried, and some I'm looking forward to checking out. A couple of my faves from the article are below, but be sure to put the rest of this tasty list on your radar, if you want some great food at incredibly fun and charming local places.

  • Johnson’s Boucanière - Lafayette
  • Cafe des Amis - Breaux Bridge
  • Bourque's Supermarket - Port Barre
  • T-Boy’s Slaughterhouse - Ville Platte
  • Earl's Supermarket - Lafayette

And no road trip to Acadiana would be complete without stopping at Old Tyme Grocery in Lafayette, Lagneaux's, King of Seafood in Lafayette, Rusted Rooster in Lafayette, and Poche's Specialty Meats in Breaux Bridge. We love all of these wonderful, and oh so local places!
