The Children’s Courir de Mardi Gras is Saturday, February 15th
The Children’s Courir de Mardi Gras is Saturday, February 15th hosted by LARC's Acadian Village from 8 am until noon. This is a fun family Mardi Gras event. Put on your best Mardi Gras costumes and bring your decorated floats (small wagons or strollers). Be ready to walk through the village to “beg” for ingredients for a gumbo. There will be many fun activities including a chicken chase, a fun jump, Mardi Gras crafts, and music. Admission is $5 for children ages 4 and up. Children 3 years old and under are free. Gumbo and soft drinks will be available to purchase in the pavilion.
Acadian Village is staged in the 19th century featuring authentic Acadian homes. This makes the perfect spot for the Children’s Courir de Mardi Gras. LARC’s Acadian Village is located at 200 Greenleaf Dr. in Lafayette.
