Thieves Pepper Spray Total Wine Employees

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office says that Wednesday, April 5, multiple female suspects loaded up several shopping carts of liquor and attempted to leave Total Wine on Seagan Lane in Baton Rouge without paying.

According to KLFY, when the women were confronted as they were leaving the store without paying for the liquor, they pepper-sprayed employees and made off with the merchandise.

Although exact details of just how much was stolen, reports are that "several shopping carts" of liquor were taken in the incident.

Authorities say the thieves fled the scene in "a light-colored Kia sedan".
