Three people were killed and at least one person was hurt as storms moved across northwest Louisiana late Friday night and into early Saturday morning.

Officials say a tree fell on a house in Oil City (Caddo Parish) shortly after 1:00 am. An elderly man was inside the home and was killed. His wife, who was with him, was not hurt.

Two people died in the Haughton area of Bossier Parish, according to sheriff's Lt. Bill Davis. No details have been released yet as to what happened with this situation.

There was also an injury and structural damage to a house just southwest of Oil City.

Bossier Parish 911 reported to the National Weather Service a multitude of trees down, including some falling on homes.

There have also been reports of cars getting drowned out in floodwaters at the foot of the Interstate 220 off-ramp at Benton Road in Bossier City.
