Tiger Woods Eyes Epic Return at The Masters – Believes He Can Win the Golf Tournament
As one of golf's biggest moments approaches, the buzz surrounding Tiger Woods' potential return to professional competition is very real. As Woods eyes his official return at Augusta National, there is a very real notion that he can actually win The Masters this weekend.
The world of golf has been buzzing since the below was posted by @TigerWoods on Twitter.
As Woods' game-time decision has quickly approached, the aura surrounding the idea that Tiger will compete this weekend has only heightened.
It's been roughly 25 years since Tiger Woods won his first "green jacket". Now, following a nearly-fatal car accident, the golf phenom is staring down his opportunity to return to professional competition at this week's Masters Tournament.
At the end of 2021, Tiger teamed-up with his son Charlie to compete in the PNC Championship. It was the first time that golf fans got the chance to see Woods in action since the car accident that left many uncertain if he would ever play the game again.
Though his recovery process has been kept somewhat private, golf fans everywhere have been anxiously awaiting any sign of Woods getting back in the heat of things with the best competitors in the world.
Will Tiger Woods Play at The Masters?
Now that Tiger has been sighted working both on and off of the course at Augusta National, the media has been circling like sharks in order to get answers out of the golf phenom. The biggest question has been if Woods would officially be playing this weekend.

The buzz has been palpable around Augusta National and on social media as the hype builds towards seeing the biggest figure in the history of golf tee-it-up once again. But, it is one thing to play - it is another to compete for a Major Championship.
When one member of the media asked Woods if he believed he could win the tournament, there was only one response you could expect to hear. See the response for yourself via @TheMasters on Twitter here.
"Do you think you can win The Masters this week?", Woods was asked. "I do", Tiger promptly responded.
And how could you doubt someone who has won this tournament five times?
As a Tiger Woods fan, as a golf fan, as a fan of intense competition - all of this hype has certainly gotten my blood pumping. While I personally do not see Woods winning The Masters this weekend, I would not doubt that Tiger will at least make the cut and play in Rounds 3 & 4 of the tournament.
Whatever happens, it will be a powerful moment if we get the chance to see Tiger Woods play in The Masters yet again. After going through what some considered to be a near-death experience to now playing against the best golfers in the world - what a journey it has been for one of the world's best-known athletes.
