Woman Claims Video is Proof of Ghost on Other Side of Basement Door
(KMDL-FM) - A woman recently staying in an Airbnb began to notice her dog acting strangely as well as other odd occurrences throughout the house, so she decided to try and catch a ghost by sliding her phone underneath the basement door where something was allegedly rattling the doorknob.
Honestly, pretty smart move.
However, what she caught on video with her phone next is quite bizarre, and has racked up millions of views and reactions on TikTok.
TikTok Basement Ghost Snatches Phone
Sydney, on TikTok as Syd.lane2001 began posting videos to her page after checking into an Airbnb when she noticed her dog acting strangely. In one video, it even appears the dog's leash begins moving on its own.
Her dog was routinely walking a few steps up on the stairs and then freezing as if it was staring at something...something only it could see.

As you'll see in the video, Sydney claims that every time she knocks on the basement door, the doorknob moves and jiggles on its own. It's important to know that apparently Sydney did not have access to the basement inside of the Airbnb.
Because the door was locked shut, she decided to slide her phone under the door after she knocked to see if she could catch whatever was turning the doorknob on the other side on video.
After a couple of attempts, something on the other side of the door quickly snatches the phone out of her hand. You then see the phone being shaken and moved by something in the basement on the other side of the locked door.

While a logical explanation is that Sydney just let the phone slip from her hand and it then fell down the stairs, what happens next is a little harder to explain as the phone is moved by an unseen force almost like it’s being picked up and dropped again.

Sydney was allegedly only able to get her phone back from the basement after contacting the owner of the Airbnb to unlock the door.
