Where were you on June 17, 1994?

If you're of a certain age, you know exactly where you were that night because there's a better-than-good chance you were sitting near a TV watching the O. J. Simpson chase. That chase happened 25 years ago today and broadcast on practically every single television network in existence at that time.

This young man (I won't say how young) was at the Chili's on Pinhook with his parents and parrain trying to sneak a peak at Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the Houston Rockets when we saw the now-iconic image of Simpson's white Ford Bronco leading police on a pursuit down the streets and freeways of Los Angeles.

That chase was the start of what would become a national obsession over the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. O. J. Simpson's criminal trial started nearly six months later, turning into a nearly two-year-long real-life televised soap opera. Simpson, of course, was acquitted, though a civil jury later found him liable for Goldman's and Nicole Simpson's deaths. That trial made household names of the attorneys involved--including prosecutor Marsha Clark and defense attorneys Robert Shapiro, Robert Kardashian, and Johnnie Cochran.

Even Kato Kaelin, one of the witnesses in the case, parlayed his 15 minutes in the spotlight into more than two decades of minor celebrity.

Just two days ago, Simpson launched a Twitter profile. So far, he's posted three videos. In one of them, the tackles the rumors about him being Khloe Kardashian's biological father. Maybe he'll use that platform one day to tell the world what really happened back in June 1994.
