It was a Merry Christmas for the LSU Tigers football program.

Elias Ricks, the top cornerback prospect in the country for the Class of 2020, announced his intention to play college football for the Tigers.

Ricks is a five-star recruit out of Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, California.

Several prep websites have him ranked as the top cornerback in the class.

Ricks also had scholarship offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, USC and nearly every big school imaginable.

Once Ricks officially signs, it'll mark two years in a row that Coach Ed Orgeron has nabbed the top cornerback in the country.

Derek Stingley Jr. from The Dunham School in Baton Rouge recently signed with LSU for the class of 2019.

However, do keep in mind that commitments such as Ricks' are non-binding. The Class of 2020 can't sign a national letter of intent until December 2019.
