If the area of low pressure strengthens and gets upgraded to a tropical storm (which is expected by Thursday), it shall be called "Josephine".

Alas, Josephine may not have much of a career as a tropical storm: the meteorologists in the Storm Team 3 Weather Lab say that the system will have to contend with some upper-level winds which, if conditions remain as they are, should weaken it significantly.

At this time, the storm poses no threat to the Gulf of Mexico. Which is great, because the last thing we need right now is a hurricane because you know what hurricanes bring? Heavy winds, rains, flooding, and hurricane parties, and we don't need any of those at this time.
