Troy Gentry’s Fatal Helicopter Ride Was a Spur of the Moment Decision
We are now getting the reason why Troy Gentry was on that helicopter that crashed on Friday. It was basically a spur of the moment kind of thing.
An investigator for the NTSB described it as a, "Would you like to go for a helicopter ride?"
This explains why Troy's bandmate Eddie Montgomery was not with him. The duo had just arrived at the airport where the concert was to be held that night. Shortly after they arrived is when Troy accepted the invite to go on the helicopter ride.
On another note, the Grand Ole Opry will be celebrating Troy's life with a public ceremony on Thursday at 11am. It will be live streamed at Opry.com.
