Two More Lafayette Businesses Closing Soon
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - In this week's edition of "As the Business World Turns," two more well-known establishments will be closing soon.
The first comes as little surprise to most as Forever 21 in the Acadiana Mall will be closing.
A picture shared by Meagan Whipp on the Facebook group "Closed in Acadiana" shows the store closing signs up on the retailer's windows.
Forever 21, once a powerhouse in the fast-fashion industry, is prepping for its second bankruptcy in the last five years.

According to multiple reports, the company plans to close at least 200 stores across the United States, and it appears the Lafayette location is one of them.
Once boasting over 800 stores worldwide, Forever 21 now has around 350, and that will dwindle significantly with this latest news.
The other not-so-good news comes from the nightclub industry in the Hub City.
The owners of Bolt took to social media to announce that the gay bar and nightclub will be closing permanently in the coming days.
As the post mentions, the club has been open for 10 years and frequently hosted performances from burlesque to musicals.
A synopsis of the bar on their website reads as follows:
Bolt is proud to be the only LGBTQIA+ bar/dance club in Lafayette. We offer premier drag shows every week, a full service bar with experienced bartenders, mouthwatering food, and a premium sound system.
Bolt is located at 222 Rue Jefferson Street in Lafayette.
The official closing date for Bolt will be on Mardi Gras Day, which is Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
