Currently, UL has an online accounting textbook that costs $999 dollars. Clearly, this has raised a few questions and outrage from students taking Accounting 202. Yes, $1,000 for a virtual textbook. In response UL has released a tweet responding to the controversy.

In the tweet below, UL says the "price was set with good intentions but they needed to explain the rationale."

Some students are speculating the price of the online textbook has been set so high to force students to buy the hard copy which is $300.

UL says their intention in setting the price so high was indeed to steer students to buy the hard copy so that they wouldn't have print out so much information required for class.
