UL softball is coming off of a doubleheader victory against Louisiana Tech and Central Connecticut State. The Cajuns lost to LSU earlier in the week, and UL was hoping for some redemption Saturday night. However, the Cajuns just fell short losing to LSU 2-5.

This time the Cajuns were actually able to score this time against LSU. Sophie Piskos hit a homerun for the Cajuns. While Laney Credeur got an RBI. The Cajuns scored 2 runs on 5 hits. While LSU scored 5 runs on 8 hits.

When it comes to the pitching aspect Meghan Schorman came in and relieved Kandra Lamb, which really changed the game for the Cajuns. Without Schorman the Cajuns wouldn't have even been in the game. Schorman managed to get 7 strikeouts for the Cajuns. The Cajuns just didn't have enough when it comes to hitting the ball to get it done Saturday.

UL will be back on the diamond on March 9th against McNeese at 6:00 pm.
