‘Urban Cowboy’ TV Series?

We all remember the wildly popular 1980 film 'Urban Cowboy', starring John Travolta and Debra Winger. It spawned many hit songs off the soundtrack, and made country music cool again. Earlier this week, on the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles, Fox network officials were talking about a new television series being developed, based on the hit movie. It will definitely be set in current day, and filmed in Texas, but not many other details are available as of yet.The pilot will be shot next month, so things are still in the early stages, but director Craig Brewer, who also directed Hustle and Flow, will be attached to the project, so that is good news for fans who want Bud and Sissy back!
