In Walmart stores across the country, shoppers are seeing ominous warnings about a national dish soap shortage. Yes, I'm being serious.

Shoppers are posting pictures all over social media of the signs that read:

"Dish soap is experiencing a national supply shortage, impacting product availability for our customers. These shortages will remain until Dec. 1. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you."

Businessinsider.com contacted Procter & Gamble who told them that "for a brief period, demand exceeded what we were able to supply, but this was temporary."

I'm not really sure why demand would suddenly become so overwhelming for dish soap that P&G wasn't able to keep up, but OK.

Have you noticed any of these signs anywhere in Acadiana?

Is this really a P&G issue, or did Walmart possibly make a mistake in their ordering? As huge of a client as Walmart is for P&G, it's not too crazy to think they'd take the heat for their biggest client.

Anyway, good luck out there and may your dishes stay clean.
