What Stores Are Coming to The New Shopping Center in Scott?

For a couple of years now I've noticed varying degrees of activity in the vacant land just north of the interstate in Scott. However, over the last few weeks, construction appears to have kicked into high gear.

The rumor mill has been churning as to what kind of stores will be occupying this area. A lot of rumblings have been pointing to a Walmart.

Well, we can tell you that the shopping center is tentatively called Destination Pointe. And according to a source, Super 1 Foods will be the anchoring store of the shopping center.

If you click on the map below, you will see the plans for Destination Pointe. Super 1 Foods will be located in Lot 1.

Super 1 Foods has quickly become a dominant chain in the Acadiana area. They just announced a new store coming up in Youngsville and now this location. By our count, Super 1 already has established stores in Lafayette, Carencro, Abbeville, Eunice, Opelousas, and New Iberia.

For residents of the Scott area, it should be exciting to watch this development go up and eventually get filled up.
