The "Big Game" is almost here. (OK, since we're not making any money off of it, I think we're cleared to call it the Super Bowl here.)

So, what are you cooking for the game between the Seahawks and Patriots? Are you going all out with every great party food known to mankind or are you just getting a platter of boudin and cracklins from your favorite specialty meats store?

If you are going to do some foods yourself, you probably should stick to the great football watching dishes.

Need ideas as to what that is? Celebrity chef and former Top Chef winner Richard Blais gives you his 10 favorite party foods that will be the hit of any Super Bowl Party.

  1. Wings - They are easy to pick up, eat and discard. Options to spicing them up are many, so there is something for everyone at the party.
  2. Seven-Layer Dip - It has everything you need for your chip's enjoyment -- beans, cheese, meat, sour cream, guacamole, salsa and fresh vegetables.
  3. Nachos - Another versatile dish with plenty of options for topping. Is there anything better than fresh chips with hot, gooey cheese?
  4. Pigs in a Blanket - Don't sleep on this old standby! Take some minidogs, roll them in some puff pastry and get them in the oven about 30 minutes before your first guests arrive. Boom, they'll be gone before kickoff.
  5. Soft Pretzel Tray - A nice warm pretzel on a cold February day is pretty legit. The topping options are varied, from just salt to cinnamon. And the dippings can be just as fun. How about a little mustard and cheese or perhaps a warm butter sauce?
  6. Guacamole - A nice freshly made guac can be the hit of any party. Besides, it's kind of good for you!
  7. Chicken Fingers - Yeah, chicken fingers can be boring. But they can also be addictive (ask anyone who's had Raising Canes). And they dip into about anything -- ketchup, ranch, honey mustard, hot sauce, etc.
  8. Chili - When it's chilly, go with chili. It's a perfect warm dish for smaller parties. Bigger parties, not as much. Ever had chili at a wedding reception? No? There's a reason why.
  9. Chips and Salsa/Queso - Come on, you can't have a Super Bowl party without chips and dip! That would be un-American.
  10. Pizza - The ole standard. You could even go crazy and try to make one at home. (Or you can just order out and be cliché.)
