2010 - Miranda Lambert earns a gold album for "Revolution"

2007 - Big & Rich and John Anderson perform jointly in Franklin, Tennessee, in a taping of "CMT Cross Country." Among their collaborations: "Swingin'" and "Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)"

2006 - CMT premieres Toby Keith's "Get Drunk And Be Somebody" video and Rascal Flatts' "What Hurts The Most"

2002 - Hank Williams Jr. makes his first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry in more than 20 years, joining Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart to pay tribute to the late Waylon Jennings for more than an hour at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium

1997 - Garth Brooks greets Melinda and Ricky Huffman at the Charleston Coliseum in West Virginia with a raft of gifts, as his tour pulls in its 2 millionth customer. The couple gets a Chevy Tahoe and a Caribbean vacation

1995 - The Mavericks earn their first platinum album, for "What A Crying Shame"

1986 - Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson star in the NBC-TV movie "The Last Days Of Frank & Jesse James." The cast also includes Ed Bruce, David Allan Coe and June Carter Cash

1971 - Johnny Cash records "Man In Black" in Nashville at the Columbia Recording Studio

1969 - George Jones marries Tammy Wynette in Ringgold, Georgia, six months after they announced the marriage

1960 - Bass player Doug Phelps born in Leachville, Arkansas. He becomes a founding member of The Kentucky HeadHunters but leaves in 1992 with his sibling, Ricky Lee, to form Brother Phelps. He rejoins The HeadHunters in 1996
