Nuez de la India Could Be Fatal FDA Reports

According to a new warning from the Food and Drug Administration, weight loss product Nuez de la India is being recalled by manufacturer Todorganic Inc. because taking the product could be fatal.

According to KATC, the weight loss product contains "highly toxic Thevetia peruviana, also known as yellow oleander seeds."

Parts of the yellow oleander plant contain cardiac glycosides which are "highly toxic to humans and animals" according to the FDA.

Those who have taken the product and survived could experience issues such as gastrointestinal issues, neurological disorders, and heart issues.
