73-year-old Felix Vail was indicted nearly two weeks ago in the alleged murder of his wife, Mary Horton Vail, in 1962. Now, he's pleading not guilty in a Calcasieu Parish courtroom.

Vail entered his plea during his arraignment on Monday. Authorities say Vail killed her while they were at the Calcasieu River, but allegedly tried to make it look like she drowned.

Vail is also suspected in the deaths of a girlfriend in the 1970s and a second wife in the 1980's.

If convicted, Vail will be sentenced to life without parole.
