To all the food lovers out there, prepare yourself. With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, I know many of us are trying to prepare our stomachs to intake all of the delicious food soon to come. At least one person in the family will always make a comment about how long it will take to work it all off!

Here is where I am going to have to let you down a little my friends. There is one thing that you probably eat or drink daily that is doing a lot more damage than you think.

Here is a list of just seven food/drink items that we all love to partake in and how far you would have to walk to burn them off:

  1. A can of Coke = 140 calories: 1.6 miles
  2. Snickers bar = 215 calories: 2.4 miles
  3. A Beef Chalupa Supreme from Taco Bell = 360 calories: Just over 4 miles
  4. Grande Caramel Frap from Starbucks = 410 calories: 4.6 miles
  5. Big Mac = 560 calories: 6.1 miles (compared to) Whopper = 650 calories: 7.3 miles
  6. A Chipoltle burrito with chicken = 1,050 calories: 11.8 miles
  7. Bloomin' Onion from Outback Steakhouse = 1,954 calories: Just under 22 miles

Let's take a moment for all of that to sink in.

Okay, I officially feel like I have gained 10 pounds just reading all of that. This means that for all of you who are trying to lose weight or watch what you eat, these would be good things to stay away from. They are all delicious, but I am not about to walk 22 miles to walk off an onion.
