Former New Orleans Saints player and current WWL Saints Radio Network announcer Hokie Gajan has reveled he's been diagnosed with cancer.

Gajan, who was also an LSU running back and Saints scout says he's ready for the fight, and fully expects to be in the broadcasting booth this Sunday as the Saints take on Washington.

From WWL -

As of right no, I mean, nothing's changed. I still get fussed at by my wife, I still got to handle my grandkids from time to time," Hokie said. "It's just business as usual. I’ll get my diagnosis & treatment schedule next week,  and I hope to be in that booth calling the games with Jim for as long as I can stand him.

In the four years playing for the Saints, Hokie carried the ball 252 times for 1,358.  That's an average of 5.4 yards per carry.  He also caught 63 passes for 515 yards, an average of 8.2 yards per catch.  Hokie rushed for eleven touchdowns and caught two TD passes.
