I-10 Reopened After Crash

The major Interstate artery through Acadiana is now open for traffic once again. Just moments ago we received reports that traffic was now flowing in both directions over the basin bridge.

That bridge was closed for almost 24 hours following a fiery crash that claimed two lives. The accident which occurred Friday afternoon involved four 18 wheelers. Two of which caught fire as a result of the crash. One of the trailers was forced off the bridge into the bayou below. The cab of that truck remained on the roadway.
