Isaac’s Impact Along The Mississippi Gulf Coast [Video]

Many of us in Acadiana were only mildly affected by Hurricane Isaac. Certainly there are many still without power and you don't have to travel too far to the east see evidence of the power of the storm. However, if you really consider what might have been versus what actually happened we were quite fortunate in the heart of Acadiana.

Our friends in coastal Mississippi really bore the brunt of the heavy rain, high winds and storm surge. Here is video from Long Beach as the storm was pushing on shore yesterday. The amount of water and coastal surge is very impressive. It is certainly a great reason for so many of us to be counting our blessings.
