The morning commute to work and school might require an umbrella but you probably won't need it for Tuesday. The current weather situation in Acadiana as of 4am showed an area of rain showers moving from west to east generally between I-10 and the coast. The chance of showers is expected to continue through the day Monday before ending late in the day.

These showers are in association with a cold front that pushed through the area yesterday and now has stalled just south of the Louisiana coastline. The proximity of the front and some over riding moisture will give the southern parishes a chance of showers for the early part of Monday.

By tomorrow the atmosphere will have stabilized a bit and sunny skies should return to the area. Temperatures will be slightly below normal and the sunny skies will be very short lived. The forecast is calling for a return of precipitation by as early as Wednesday night with the threat of showers in the area through at least Friday.
