McCain To Campaign For Cassidy In Louisiana

How badly does the Republican Party want Congressman Bill Cassidy to become Senator Bill Cassidy? Well is "star power" is an indication of desire then the GOP must want to win Louisiana in the worst way.

Former Republican Presidential candidate John McCain is expected to be in the state beginning  Sunday evening specifically to bolster the Cassidy Campaign.

The Senate race in Louisiana has already gotten a notorious reputation for being the most negative in the whole country. The reason the stakes are so high? Many believe that a Cassidy win will shift the balance of power in the United States Senate in the Republican party's favor.

McCain is expected to be appear at a veterans rally on Sunday evening in Metarie. Monday Cassidy and McCain will travel across the state including stops in Covington, Baton Rouge, Bossier City and Lafayette. The focus of McCain's message is supposed to be veterans affairs.

Many political pundits think that McCain will be the first of many national political figures stumping for candidates in the coming weeks.
