Acadiana Center for the Arts is holding their annual 'Play it Again' musical instrument recycling drive through July 18. The purpose is to collect older instruments that are not currently being used, and get them refurbished. Once they are repaired, they are given to area school children right here in Acadiana who might not otherwise be able to afford to be in a music program.

It is a wonderful way to do something good and recycle at the same time. The goal is to get at least 100 instruments, but it would be so nice to get more to inspire our children with the gift of music!

All instruments will be accepted, everything from flutes, guitars, trumpets, saxophones, violins. As long as it's in pretty decent shape and can be repaired, it will be accepted and put to good use.

Donations can be dropped off at Lafayette Music Company, 3700 Johnston, or Acadiana Center for the Arts, 101 W. Vermilion. All donations are tax deductible, and donors will receive documentation of their generous gift. For details call 337-233-7060.
