We have so many traditions in Acadiana, and one of the most beloved is the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival. The inaugural crustacean celebration happened in 1960 and has been going strong ever since. Nola.com has just published some vintage pictures from the festival and from Jazzfest, and they're pretty amazing.
Happy Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival weekend! This year marks the 56th annual celebration of everything we love about our beloved crawfish. Today, I found this French documentary about the festival from 1968, and it's pretty incredible.
The weather forecast from the Storm Team 3 Weather Lab is absolutely perfect and the events going on this weekend are even better. If you want Zydeco, we got that. If you want Reggae, we got that, too!
